Just in case you missed some of their picks or rationale behind them, I’ll be breaking down their DraftKings Millionaire Maker picks each week in this column. I might even through in a little advice of my own.

As a result, it is time to breakdown some players to target in DFS for Week Five of the NFL season.

DraftKings Millionaire Maker Week 5 Picks a613c

Quarterbacks 6iz2e

Josh Allen 4n3w4b

While the media continues to focus on the talent of Patrick Mahomes and Russell Wilson, Josh Allen continues to produce massive numbers on a weekly basis and he will now get to fast off against a Tennessee team that has not looked too good defensively up to this point. Tennessee has allowed at least 30 points per game in each of its last two games and it is currently dealing with the coronavirus so it might be shorthanded defensively on Sunday which will allow Allen to continue showcasing his elite dual-threat ability.

Teddy Bridgewater 3m4v58

Even though Carolina was expected to take a massive step back offensively once star running back Christian McCaffrey got injured, the Panthers have surprisingly looked quite sharp offensively and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is a huge reason why. Bridgewater had his best game of the season last week as he recorded three touchdowns last week and he will now get to face off against Atlanta’s extremely underwhelming defense on Sunday. Plus, Atlanta is dealing with a ton of injuries to its secondary so it should look even worse in this game.

Running Backs 2p6v58

Clyde Edwards-Helaire 52706h

Even though Clyde Edwards-Helaire has been a bit quiet since his breakout performance in week one against the Texans, he is still heavily involved in both the ground game and the ing game so he is a bit underpriced due to the amount of volume that he consistently gets. Plus, he now gets to face off against the Raiders who have one of the worst rush defenses in the league so Edwards-Helaire should be able to total at least 100 total yards while also possessing touchdown upside.

David Johnson 284q18

Even though David Johnson will always be thought of negatively since he was involved in the DeAndre Hopkins trade, he has been pretty good from a fantasy perspective in 2020. Johnson already has two touchdowns this season and he now gets to face off against a Jacksonville defense that allowed three touchdowns to Joe Mixon last week so Johnson has a great opportunity to reach the endzone at least once in this game while also recorded some receptions out of the backfield.

Mike Davis e4g2p

While Christian McCaffrey is still the best running back in the league, Mike Davis has done extremely well taking over the starting job in his absence. In two starts, Davis has recorded at least 90 total yards and a touchdown in each game. Now, he gets to face the Falcons who have struggled against opposing running backs all season long. Plus, he has had at least 21 touches in each of the last two games so he has been getting a ton of volume.

Antonio Gibson 58731r

Even though Washington’s offense has been underwhelming this season, Antonio Gibson has looked great as he has recorded one rushing touchdown in each of the last three weeks so he has a knack at getting into the endzone. Plus, Washington decided to switch starting quarterbacks so I would not be surprised to see the coaching staff try to help Kyle Allen out by relying heavily on the running game to open up some play action opportunities.

Wide Receivers 5b6f57

Robby Anderson (Sean and Ryan) f6c46

Even though D.J. Moore is listed as the number one receiver on the depth chart, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater seems to have developed solid chemistry with Robby Anderson which has led to some impressive numbers this season. Anderson has been targeted at least eight times in three of the first four games and he has recorded at least 99 receiving yards in every game except one so he has been consistently productive up to this point. Plus, he is a great stacking option with Bridgewater in DFS as they will be taking on an injured Atlanta secondary on Sunday.

Stefon Diggs (Sean and Ryan) 534lb

While it might take some receivers extra time to get comfortable in a new environment, Stefon Diggs is an exception as he has been great ever since he showed up in Buffalo. Diggs has recorded at least 115 receiving yards in two of the first four games and he has two receiving touchdowns so he has been amazing in DFS lineups up to this point. Now, he gets to face off against Tennessee who has had coronavirus issues which could hurt its already mediocre secondary. Plus, he is a great stacking option with Josh Allen.

Darius Slayton 4n3v4w

Even though using Darius Slayton means getting involved with the worst overall offense in the 2020 season up to this point, it is a fantastic matchup for New York’s receiving corps as Dallas has been one of the worst defensive teams in the entire league. Dallas has allowed at least 38 points in each of its last three games so New York should be able to move the ball a lot more easily on Sunday. While Daniel Jones is still a work in progress at quarterback, Darius Slayton is his favorite target so he is a great sleeper option at just $4,800.

DeAndre Hopkins 5q643u

Even though DeAndre Hopkins was surprisingly quiet last week against against Carolina, this is a perfect spot for him to get back on track. New York’s defense has looked lost all season long and it just allowed 37 points to a third-string quarterback last week so one can expect Arizona to put up points in bunches on Sunday. Hopkins has been targeted at least nine times in all four games this season so he should be able to find some holes in this extremely soft secondary en route to a huge performance.

Tight End 5a725g

Tyler Higbee 31d8

Even though Tyler Higbee has not been that involved in Los Angeles’ offense lately, this is a great matchup for him to get back on track since Washington has been awful against opposing tight ends up to this point. Entering this game, Washington has allowed five touchdowns to opposing tight ends so Higbee should have a lot of quality chances in the red zone to put up a solid fantasy performance at $5,600.

Eric Ebron 225567

Since the Pittsburgh Steelers had an unexpected bye week, people might have forgotten that Eric Ebron had 52 receiving yards and a touchdown in his last game so he should be able to build off of that performance in week five. Philadelphia has allowed five receiving touchdowns to tight ends this season and it just allowed George Kittle to record a whopping 15 receptions for 183 receiving yards last week so it has gotten even worse at stopping opposing tight ends as the season has progressed.

Flex 3l1rf

Olamide Zaccheaus 4c4i72

At just $3,000, Olamide Zaccheaus has the potential to be a serious diamond in the rough for DFS lineups on Sunday. Atlanta might be without star receiver Julio Jones for this game and Calvin Ridley had no catches last week while Olamide Zaccheaus had a team-high 86 receiving yards so he is way too cheap for week five. Plus, Carolina’s defense has been mediocre and this game will be taking place in a dome so Zaccheaus should continue to see targets while possessing touchdown upside.

Laviska Shenault Jr. 5f4i68

Despite being a rookie, Laviska Shenault Jr. has looked extremely comfortable in Jacksonville’s offense and he should be able to put together a solid performance on Sunday. Shenault Jr. has been targeted six times in each of the last two weeks and he has recorded at least one carry in every game so Jacksonville has tried to get him the ball in various ways. Now, he gets to face a Houston team that has been very underwhelming defensively this season so Shenault Jr. has a lot of value at $4,500.

Defense 4x2t5f

New England Patriots i6r1m

Even though New England lost last week to Kansas City, it gave the best offense in the league serious problems throughout the entire game and it now gets to face off against a third-string quarterback at home on Sunday so it should be able to put together a solid performance. Rypien threw three interceptions against New York’s abysmal secondary on Thursday so New England should be able to intercept at least one while also recording several sacks against Denver’s below average offensive line.

Philadelphia Eagles 4b3562

Even though Philadelphia has looked like a below average football team up to this point, the same cannot be said about its defense which has pressured opposing quarterbacks on a regular basis. The Eagles are averaging 4.2 sacks per game which is the second-most in the entire league so it should be able to force Ben Roethlisberger into making a few mistakes on Sunday. Plus, Pittsburgh did not play last week so it might look a bit flat offensively due to the unexpected layoff.
