With the NBA Western Conference Finals getting underway today (Tuesday), the Eastern Conference gets its chance tomorrow in Madison Square Garden. Here are your NBA predictions and preview for Wednesday, May 21st.

Indiana Pacers vs New York Knicks 4d63v

For the ninth time in NBA history, the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks will meet in the NBA Playoffs. The hated rivals just met last season, when the Pacers sent the Knicks on vacation early, beating them in Game 7 of the second round at Madison Square Garden. This season, they battle for a spot in the NBA Finals, with New York holding home-court advantage once again.

And, at least at this point, the Knicks are healthy, as opposed to last season when Indiana bested them. However, Indiana has had three extra days of rest before this series tips off. And they’ve also been a beast on the road this postseason, going 4-1 away from Indianapolis. Meanwhile, the Knicks are a pedestrian 3-3 at the World’s Most Famous Arena these playoffs.

This is all to say that I think the Knicks are going to have their hands full with the Pacers starting tomorrow night. If this were a regular-season game, my line would be New York -4.5, which is what the books have it at. With the way Indiana has been playing, I think they cover for us tomorrow.
