You’ll have to get out of bed early on Saturday (or don’t go to bed at all) if you’re in North America and you want to see my prop play hit in real time. Former Olympic wrestler Hamdy Abdelwahab returns to the octagon in Saturday’s opener after over two years on the sidelines after a failed drug test. Other than the No Contest he got from the failed test (originally a split decision win over Don’Tale Mayes), the Egyptian has knocked out all five of his opponents.
But I’m hedging this week and taking Abdelwahab inside the distance instead of a knockout prop because I could see him potentially submitting Jamal Pogues as well. Regardless, Abdelwahab is going to finish him on the ground either via strikes or a tap-out.
