The defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers took it to the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 1, winning 5-2 in front of the Hurricanes’ home crowd. This despite just finishing up a grueling seven-game series in Toronto a couple of nights earlier.
But I’m still backing Carolina tomorrow night in Game 2. The Hurricanes are killers on home ice, only losing back-to-back home games once during the regular season on their way to a 31-9-1 record in the Lenovo Center. I think they even up the series as it heads to Sunrise, Florida. Carolina on the moneyline is the first half of our winning parlay.
And we’re making this parlay a replay of my (losing) one on Tuesday. We’re pairing Carolina on the moneyline up with a play on the under. Despite all the goals in Game 1, these are two teams with solid goaltending that I expect to keep the score under 5.5.
