It took me a bit to get my legs under me, but now I’m crushing my NBA Playoffs picks (but I still have a bit of digging left to do to get out of my hole from the early rounds). Kind of like how the Oklahoma City Thunder played in Game 1 – they just took a little time to warm up. Here are your NBA predictions and preview for Thursday, May 22nd.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Oklahoma City Thunder q616s

Start Time – 8:30 PM EST

I’ve heard talk that the Minnesota Timberwolves just didn’t hit their open shots in Game 1, and once the shots start falling, they’ll be fine. Missing open shots explains why they lost by 26 points?!

The league’s best team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, crushed the Wolves 114-88 despite not playing their best game. The Wolves had a 71% win probability late in the second quarter of this game, and they still got blown out. The reigning NBA MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, shot 10-27, and OKC still cruised. The Thunder are a scary team.

A scary team that is deep and has a lockdown defense. I’m back on my “the Thunder cover any spread put in front of them” betting strategy that worked so well this season for me. Oklahoma City on the spread is my best bet for tomorrow.
