It’s 2024 all over again in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. It’s also 2023 all over again. Three of the four conference finalists from last season’s playoffs made the final four again this year. And three teams from the 2023 conference finals are also still alive this season. For my best bet for Tuesday, May 20th: NHL Predictions, we’re headed to Raleigh, North Carolina, for a rematch of the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals. Let’s go!

Florida Panthers vs Carolina Hurricanes 5j3w3y
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
The Toronto Maple Leafs made them work for it, but the defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers prevailed in seven games. Now the Panthers head from Toronto to Raleigh for Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Finals against the Carolina Hurricanes. The Hurricanes will look to avenge the 4-0 sweep the Panthers dealt them two playoffs ago.
And I expect Carolina to get on the series board first tomorrow night at home. They are a dominant team on home ice, with a 31-9-1 mark in the regular season (third best in the NHL). More importantly, they are a perfect 5-0 at the Lenovo Center in the playoffs.
The Panthers already got a road win in Raleigh in the early parts of this season. The chances of them getting another tomorrow, after just finishing a seven-game series on the road, are slim. Carolina on the moneyline is my best bet for Tuesday.
