The Leafs outdid themselves this season, going up 2-0 on the defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers in this second-round series, and in the process briefly being inserted as the Cup favorite by MoneyPuck. Since that time, they’ve lost their starting goalie to a head injury and dropped three straight games, including a crucial Game 5 on their home ice by a tally of 6-1.
I see no reason why the Panthers won’t wrap things up tomorrow on their home ice. The Leafs have yet to win a game this season in the Amerant Bank Arena, going 0-4, including both games this series.
