These Friday slates are always a challenge because it’s easy to look ahead to the college hoops buffet that is the Mega Saturday schedule. However, a small slate doesn’t scare off true degens. Only a handful of games? We’re going to make a handful of plays. Friday’s are known for Ivy League, MACtion, MAACtion, Horizon League, and a couple of random Big Ten or Big East match ups. We have just enough to work with to put together an Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for February 21. The good news is that we’ve found three tasty plays that you’ll want to consider for your card tonight.

Michigan State heads to Ann Arbor for a rivalry game with Michigan tonight. The Spartans come into this match up with a top-20 defense according to KenPom, and this is a great spot to fade Michigan guard Tre Donaldson.
Donaldson averages 2.3 turnovers per game, and he’s usually out there handling the ball for 30 minutes or more. He plays a bit loose with the ball, and Michigan State has a really solid backcourt that could force Donaldson to hand the ball over at least twice. Donaldson has gone higher than 1.5 turnovers in four of his last five match ups.
Michigan State just got done getting Purdue point guard Braden Smith to turn the ball over six times on February 18th. It’s unlikely that Donaldson will be that rough, this Michigan State backcourt is a tough match up, and they’ll get the better of him at least twice. Marquette pays a visit to Villanova tonight, and this is a great spot to ride with Eric Dixon to go higher on his rebounds and assists total.
The Golden Eagles allow opponents to average 35.3 rebounds per game this year. That’s 227th in the nation. They also allow opponents to dish out 14.7 assists per game. That’s 295th in the nation.
Dixon played Marquette on the road this year, and racked up 10 rebounds and assists. He also averages 5.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game at home this year. Dixon has also gone higher than 7.5 rebounds and assists in four straight games.
