Will Team USA be able to win this game wire-to-wire, or will Nigeria give Team USA a run for their money? Team USA struggled against Belgium, winning the game by only 13 points.
Two factors will determine Nigeria’s success in the game. First, can they limit the USA’s second-chance opportunities? Second, can Nigeria contest the USA’s three-point shooting?
I expect this game to be a lower-scoring affair. If Nigeria wants to stay in this game, it will have to be on the defensive side. Meanwhile, Team USA has not looked overly impressive on the offensive side, scoring well below expectation in the final two group-stage games.
