Dynasty fantasy football off-season activities are in full swing, and rookie drafts are right around the corner. With that being said, there are plenty of advantages to be had for those fantasy managers that stay active this time of year. 2s3f65
Rookies are at the forefront of everyone’s minds, so there are some sneaky dynasty fantasy football waiver wire pickups available. While these players are long shots to be fantasy relevant, there have been lottery tickets found this time of year before the NFL Draft; (Adam Thielen and Darren Waller, to name a couple).
Disclaimer: In leagues with 30+ roster spots, the dynasty fantasy football waiver wire pool may be very limited. Some (or all) of these players may not be available, but they can easily be had for free in any trade, particularly if they are included in a deal with larger assets where they won’t be viewed as a significant piece.

Dynasty Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups 1151x
D’Ernest Johnson – RB – Jacksonville Jaguars 4n4cb
D’Ernest Johnson recently signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he will compete for the backup job behind Travis Etienne. JaMycal Hasty is also on the roster and was successful in 2021, so it isn’t a guarantee he will even make the roster.
He averaged over 5 yards per carry in Cleveland during his four-year career. In addition, Johnson was outstanding in relief work in 2021, finishing with over 130 all-purpose yards in three contests.
Mack Hollins – WR – Las Vegas Raiders 331v13
The Atlanta Falcons signed Mack Hollins to a one-year deal, and he is currently set to be the WR2 in the offense. Given their run-heavy scheme, this may not be an attractive position for fantasy purposes.
Nonetheless, we saw Olamide Zacchaeus have his moments in 2022. Hollins is coming off his best year as a professional and excels in gaining target separation in man coverage.
Albert Okwuegbunam – TE – Denver Broncos 406u6a
Greg Dulcich immediately ed Albert Okwuegbunam on the depth chart in 2022. However, the physical tools are undeniable. He is “6-6” with a 98th-percentile 40-yard dash and 100-percentile speed score. Although Okwuegbunam fell out of favor with the last coaching staff, there will be a new regime in Denver in 2022. Given his athletic profile, he should be given one more chance to earn a starting role.

Kevin Harris – RB – New England Patriots 1w3h7
Injuries have hampered the career of Kevin Harris, who once led the SEC in rushing in 2020 (1,297 scrimmage yards, 16 touchdowns). The following season he was limited most of the year due to back and ankle injuries and wasn’t nearly as productive.
As a result, Harris slid into the sixth round of the NFL draft. He is a physical runner, though with a strong frame. Fantasy managers also know how the Patriots use multiple running backs.
Jake Ferguson – TE – Dallas Cowboys 251k3k
Jake Ferguson is already on plenty of fantasy manager’s radars, being rostered in 69 percent of dynasty fantasy leagues on Sleeper. While the Cowboys are a candidate to add a tight end in the NFL draft, the departure of Dalton Schultz leaves him atop the depth chart.
He was productive each of his four seasons at Wisconsin, accumulating 1,618 yards and 13 touchdowns. The draft will be his biggest obstacle, though, and his position is far from secure at this point though.
Ashton Dulin – WR – Indianapolis Colts 5b273a
Ashton Dulin will be entering his 5th season with the Indianapolis Colts after recently g a modest two-year deal. While he has been successful in spurts, Dulin has yet to put together a significant fantasy season.
This is a player with an outstanding athletic profile (4.43 40-yard dash) and playmaking ability. Regardless, his value will depend on who is playing quarterback, but he should still compete for slot snaps.
Trayveon Williams – RB – Cincinnati Bengals 4n3512
If Joe Mixon is going to be the starter again in 2023, that means the second running back in the offense will have a lot of value. Samaje Perine is gone, and Joe Mixon saw his snap count steadily decline throughout the year.
Trayveon Williams has been a depth piece for Cincinnati for years. However, the coaching staff recently expressed optimism about his role this season. This is a player who once had over 2000 all-purpose yards and 19 touchdowns at Texas A&M in 2018. Injuries have ultimately derailed a promising career, though.

Jacoby Brissett – QB – Washington Commanders 5u52l
Sam Howell is set to be the starter in Washington. Nonetheless, his grip on the job is tenuous at best. If he begins to struggle, the Commanders will quickly turn to Jacoby Brissett, who is coming off a strong season with the Cleveland Browns.
The Browns’ offense had more success under him than with Deshaun Watson, and he finished No. 8 in total QBR as well. Brissett will never stuff the stat sheet, but he would have low-end QB2 upside in an offense with plenty of playmakers.

Marcus Mariota – QB – Philadelphia Eagles 165jq
Marcus Mariota is the perfect player to back up Jalen Hurts after recently g a one-year, $5 million contract. While his 2022 season ended on a sour note leaving the Falcons before the end of the season, Mariota had his moments.
He was No. 17 in fantasy points per game and is a capable starter in Superflex formats. Given Hurts’ dual-threat ability, the risk of injury is always higher too.
Colt McCoy – QB – Arizona Cardinals 1l2748
Kyler Murray tore his ACL in week 14 last year, and it remains to be seen if he will be ready for the start of the season. Colt McCoy is only rostered in 20% of Sleeper dynasty leagues and would be the projected starter if Murray needed more time.
The risk of reinjury the following season is also high, so McCoy will be a valuable backup in fantasy this season.
