As we head into the bye weeks, you may be looking for a quarterback to fill in. Or perhaps you’re a quarterback streamer looking for somebody who can fill in for this week. It’s not like Carson Wentz has been stellar, throwing six interceptions in five games. However, he is averaging 278 yards and two touchdowns a game. One of the things that makes him a good fantasy football week six waiver wire target is that this week he goes against the Bears. The Bears let Kirk Cousins start with sixteen straight completions, finishing the day with 296 yards and a touchdown.
Geno Smith – QB – Seattle Seahawks (39% Rostered) 413rm
Another fantasy football week six waiver wire target quarterback worth looking at is Geno Smith. Smith has started making Seattle say, “Russell, Who?”. He’s averaging 261 yards a game and almost two touchdowns. He’s also only thrown two interceptions in two games. In the past two weeks, Smith has utilized his legs better. Smith is throwing the ball very accurately, leading the league in ing percentage for quarterbacks that have thrown the ball over 20 times. He’s not just accurate. He also has two really good receivers to throw to in D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
Tevin Coleman – RB – San Francisco 49ers (0% Rostered) gq65
There’s no doubt that the 49er’s backfield belongs to Jeff Wilson Jr.. However, the 49ers run the ball a lot, and this week Tevin Coleman got involved. Coleman ran the ball eight times for 23 yards and a touchdown, as well as caught three es for 44 yards and a touchdown. Coleman is more of a flex play in desperation, but for now, he looks like the number two in San Francisco’s backfield. Jeff Wilson has struggled to stay healthy every year, so it’s not a bad idea to have Coleman on your bench anyways, just in case. If you have Wilson on your roster and an extra bench spot to use, Coleman is definitely a good Week 6 waiver wire target.
Eno Benjamin – RB – Arizona Cardinals (16% Rostered) 626q4f
Those rostering James Conner will be closely monitoring his injury situation after he left with a rib injury. Eno Benjamin should be the benefactor if he misses time and will be worth rostering. Benjamin has had carries in every game, averaging five carries for 27 yards, but when Connor went out with the rib injury, he received eight carries for 25 yards and a touchdown, three receptions, and 28 receiving yards. Benjamin is worth rostering if Conner misses time or is worth rostering for those who have Conner. He’s worth looking at among your fantasy football Week 6 waiver wire targets.
Dyami Brown – WR – Washington Commanders (0% Rostered) 6ck5f
In the last two weeks, Dyami Brown has been targeted four times. While that doesn’t sound like a lot, it did lead to two catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns this week. Brown will have a bit of a boom and bust to him; however, much like Carson Wentz above, he is playing a pretty bad Chicago Bears defense this week. Brown could make some big plays, especially filling in for a flex position. He’s also a young player who could have good dynasty value. He’s worth looking into for your fantasy football Week 6 waiver wire targets.
Josh Reynolds – WR – Detroit Lions (46% Rostered) 14o4u
It’s amazing that Josh Reynolds is still available in over half the leagues. Yes, Amon Ra St. Brown is the main wide receiver on the Lion’s offense. However, Reynolds has averaged 26% of the target share in the last six games. That’s equated to averaging six catches and almost 90 yards a game. For those keeping track, that’s 15 points in PPR, which is more than enough from a flex position. Even though he is on a bye week this week, he’s still worth rostering for going forward and a good fantasy football Week 6 waiver wire target. Reynolds is a former teammate of Jared Goff, and their connection has become clear over the past several games. Goff and Reynolds have been hooking up for big plays on Detroit since before this year.
Taysom Hill – TE – New Orleans Saints (24% Rostered) 6s5v6x
Another player who will have some boom-and-bust weeks is Taysom Hill. However, the tight end is a thin position and even thinner once the bye weeks start hitting. What is better than a tight end that can catch, run, and throw the ball like Taysom Hill? In Week 1, he had 81 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. Then he had a game with only 14 yards and a game with 0. Then in Week 4, he found the end zone again, rushing for 21 yards and a touchdown. However, in Week 5, Taysom Hill had quite a week. He threw a touchdown , ran for 112 yards, and had an additional three rushing touchdowns. Don’t expect that kind of production out of Hill every week; however, in bye weeks, he is worth a flier, running for a touchdown in three of five games this season. He’s worth considering for your fantasy football Week 6 waiver wire targets.
