Damien Williams (RB) – 11.0% Rostered 5j236p
In fantasy football, one week is all it takes to change the fortune of a specific player. Damien Williams was easily the number two running back on Chicago’s depth chart entering Sunday’s game against Detroit. However, starting running back David Montgomery suffered a knee injury during the game and did not return. While the seriousness of the injury remains unknown for now, there is a chance that Montgomery will be out for awhile. If that is the case, then Williams would receive a ton of volume in the future.
Kenneth Gainwell (RB) – 25.0% Rostered 22u1u
Despite technically being listed as Philadelphia’s backup running back, Kenneth Gainwell has been getting multiple opportunities within this offense. In Week 4, Gainwell had 89 total yards and one rushing touchdown. However, he is intriguing since he is outplaying starting running back Miles Sanders this season. If Sanders continues to struggle, then the coaching staff should give the rookie running back more touches in the future. Plus, Gainwell is a solid runner and receiver out of the backfield so he has extra value in PPR formats.
Taylor Heinicke (QB) – 10.0% Rostered 272x3t
Even though there are more well-known quarterbacks on the waiver wire, Taylor Heinicke needs to be on a roster. Since taking over the starting job in Washington, Heinicke has been playing extremely well as he has recorded 990 ing yards and eight ing touchdowns. In addition, Washington’s defense has been one of the worst units in the league this season so the offense will be forced to play from behind which will result in more attempts late in games.
Daniel Jones (QB) – 32.0% Rostered z4ql
I cannot believe I am saying this but Daniel Jones actually looks like a good quarterback this season. After a couple of disastrous seasons to start his career, Jones has done a much better job with his ball security as he has only committed two turnovers up to this point. In addition, he has four ing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns. Even though it will always be difficult to fully trust him within your starting lineup, he should be used in favorable matchups due to his dual-threat ability.
C.J. Uzomah (TE) – 1.0% Rostered 4et52
While non-elite tight ends in fantasy football are extremely volatile, sleeper tight ends can get on a roll and C.J. Uzomah is worth keeping an eye on. On Thursday, he had five receptions for 95 yards and two touchdowns as he was a main focal point within this offense. While it is still a bit premature to determine if this one week was an anomaly or not, it is clear that Uzomah has the talent to become a quality fantasy football tight end for the rest of the season.
Cedrick Wilson (WR)- 1.0% Rostered 4c4k6m
The Dallas Cowboys have an elite offense. It is fine to target an underrated player within that system for fantasy football. Cedrick Wilson was supposed to rarely see the field before the season started but he was quickly given a bigger role once Michael Gallup was placed on IR with a calf injury. With the increased playing time, Wilson has made a serious impact as he has recorded a touchdown in each of his last two games. Plus, star wide receiver Amari Cooper suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday’s game so it is unclear whether or not he will be able to play next week. If Cooper is unavailable to suit up, then Wilson will see a significantly higher target share.
Dawson Knox (TE)- 18.0% Rostered 29r3o
Being a member of a high-powered offense has its perks and Dawson Knox is definitely enjoying himself so far this season. Knox has recorded at least one touchdown in each of the last three games so he has been heavily involved within this offense. Plus, he recorded two touchdowns on Sunday so he is getting a significant amount of targets in the red zone. Knox might be a bit touchdown-dependent but Buffalo can score at least 35 points somewhat frequently so he should have several opportunities to reach the end zone in any given game.
