With three weeks left in the regular season, there is a lot to still play for! In the Atlantic division, the top four are nearly set with Atlanta, DC, New York, and Raleigh competing over seeding and matchups for their play-in games. The Central division has Chicago and Minnesota virtually locked in for the play-in game with Madison on the outside looking in. But the West is where all the fun is. There is a lot to look forward to as the Dallas Roughnecks travel to Austin to battle for that final play-in spot against San Diego. Before we get into my locks and dog I do want to throw a few tips your way for betting on ultimate:
Rule number one: active rosters for the weekend are usually not set until Friday morning. Player availability plays a huge role in contests because these players do have day jobs and other priorities that might not allow them to play each weekend.
Rule number two: keep an eye on the weather! Rain and wind, especially wind, are the ultimate factor that can level any sort of competition. Big spreads become obsolete and unders become more popular/likely.

The Flyers start their road trip in Boston as perhaps the AUDL’s hottest team, as they are riding a six-game winning streak. This is Raleigh’s last game before their three-game gauntlet against New York, Atlanta, and DC. This is not a look-ahead spot for them but a spot where they have to get a win — and they should. Expect them to come in and roll in Week 10 and be a lock among this week’s AUDL picks.

Dallas Roughnecks vs Austin Sol (O/U38.5) 1lb5j
This is easily the game of the week, as is every meeting between these two rivals. Their 4th meeting this year showcases Austin leading the series 2-1 with, get this, the following scores: 24-23, 17-16, and 20-21. The previous matchups have twice sured 40 points in their totals and, with the number of athletes on both teams, I expect this to go over 38.5.

The Hustle has accomplished something they have not done in five years: clinching a playoff spot. But this is not going to stop me from picking Tampa Bay to cover here. Maybe Atlanta will suffer from a bit of a clinching hangover? Maybe you should consider that Atlanta has only covered a huge spread like this once this year? Or is it because ATL is missing a bulk of their roster for this weekend? To pull out my inner Lee Corso, “Atlanta will get this win, but closer than the experts think.” The Cannons are a scrappy team among the Week 10 AUDL picks.

There are slim pickings for value picks on dogs this weekend. With zero dogs winning last weekend, we should not try to do anything crazy this weekend. This dog pick is more than just picking Austin to beat Dallas. If Austin wins, they would finish ahead of Dallas in the regular-season standings for the first time in the five years of their program!
