eNASCAR DraftKings April 5th, 2020: Bristol Motor Speedway 5bw3r

Drivers from all over NASCAR have come together to provide us with a great form of entertainment while still being in isolation from their homes. This week will feature the third race in the eNASCAR Pro Invitational Series and will come from a virtual Bristol Motor Speedway.

The first race in the eNASCAR Pro Invitational Series from Homestead-Miami Speedway was taken home by Denny Hamlin in an outstanding finish. The second race was from Texas Motor Speedway in which Cup Series and Xfinity Series cross-over driver Timmy Hill took the win. He also gave a pretty sweet post-race interview too! This series has provided some key entertainment on Sundays, and helps NASCAR fans everywhere fill the void.

eNASCAR Drivers To Watch 5v2h3z

Alex Bowman ($9,600)

I love playing Bowman this weekend tons more than I do any other of the chalky drivers. He’s one of only five competitors to finish in the top ten in each of the previous two races (iRaces?). He’s also been playing iRacing since January of 2018 in leagues and he has a sixth place finish previously at Bristol on iRacing. Look for him to finish strong once again.

Denny Hamlin ($9,300)

Denny was one of the first guys in the Cup Series to utilize the simulation system to further his game. He was also one of the main guys organizing the eNASCAR Pro Series Invitational. Hamlin had a bad run last week, finishing only 24th. However he’s been a much better driver in real-life at Bristol than at Texas, and I look for him to be in contention for another win Sunday.

Parker Kligerman ($9,100)

The casual NASCAR fan might ask who this guy is. Kligerman is a former Cup Series driver and part-time truck series driver. He was actively racing in the Cup Series until his contract wasn’t renewed. He’s since been NBCSN’s pit reporter until the suspension of racing. He’s been competing in iRacing leagues since January of 2010 and he’s been right outside the top ten both of the last two races. I like him to be in competition for the win this weekend.

Jimmie Johnson ($5,000)

Give the veteran driver a chance this weekend. Jimmie ittedly hadn’t played many sims before the beginning of these events. However, he was running good in the first race until a late wreck and he looked even better last weekend. Johnson is extremely competitive and even hired a tutor to help him improve his iRacing. I expect him to continue to improve and have a nice finish this Sunday.

eNASCAR Drivers To Fade 6s6n5m

Timmy Hill ($10,700)

He’s the most chalky play on the board after a third place finish before winning last week’s race. Hill has been a long-time league player in iRacing, and even competes in eNASCAR’s other series, the Coca-Cola iRacing Series. I don’t like him continuing to see the same level of success as the previous two weekends however as these veteran NASCAR drivers keep becoming more and more adjusted to the iRacing format.

William Byron ($10,500)

I believe his prior iRacing experience is being a little too overvalued at this price. Byron used iRacing to help jump-start his professional career, but he hasn’t been overly impressive in this Pro Invitational Series. He had a better finish last week at Texas, but he’s never been the most solid driver at Bristol in real-life. I don’t see him having the best of finishes this week and his 18 FPPG his last two races are enough to scare me away.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. ($9,800)

It’s time to get off the Dale Jr. train in iRacing. He may have two top ten finishes the last two weeks and have a ton of experience in simulation racing. However, Earnhardt Jr. has never been the best driver at short tracks, Bristol included. I expect him to fall back into the field further Sunday and appear more like the Dale Jr. that we’re accustomed to watching on Sunday afternoons.
